Interviews

Interviews are not mandatory for acceptance into the Creighton University School of Dentistry. Please note that interviews are by invitation only. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have altered our approach to interviews in the 2020-2021 admissions cycle to minimize travel by the applicants. Interviews with a member of the Admissions Committee will be via Zoom with the time and date being selected by the applicant from available openings. Additionally, interviewees will be divided into small groups and provided a Zoom meeting with a current student so they can learn information from the current student. Last, a virtual tour of the dental building will be provided so applicants can learn about the facility from the safety of their homes.

A virtual tour is available, and we encourage all interested to view the video.

Tours

Due to COVID-19, the Creighton University School of Dentistry will not be offering in person tours for the safety of the patients, students, staff, and faculty. It is our hope that during the Spring of 2021 we will be able to resume tours – but that is subject to the pandemic.

A virtual tour is available, and we encourage all interested to view the video.

Application Policy

It is the admissions policy of Creighton University o accept qualified students within the limits of its resources and facilities. All applicants are considered for admissions on the basis of their potential to successfully complete the predoctoral program without compromise of the established standards of academic and clinical performance expected of all graduates of the School of Dentistry and their potential to best serve the needs of society.

The Admissions Committee conducts a holistic review of the entire application. This includes the applicant’s score on the DAT, courses taken, leadership ability, shadowing and service activities – to name a few.

The School of Dentistry believes a diverse student body enhances the educational opportunities for all members of the Creighton community and furthers the dental profession’s goal of educating culturally competent professionals who can work successfully with all segments of the population and improve access to care for underserved populations. For these reasons, the School seeks a diverse student body.
